at the top of the screen there's an icon with a mark through a collar. click that and then click the cat you want to unadopt. if you change your mind, you can click anywhere else to leave unadopt mode
there’s no way to rename cats, and I’m not sure if I’m going to add a way to change their names because how I see it is that a big part of the fun of the game is the silly random kitty names ^^
I hope in the new game doggytoy u can name ur pets bc its so akward having the cutest cat but theyre called * pop pop queso the myth* the name of one of my cats :]
right now, the number of cats that can visit is based on how many toys you have (it includes adopted kitties too), so buy more toys/scratching posts/etc so more kitties visit ^^
I think i can speak furr everynyan when i say that we all felt a great sadness this afternoon when Rakqoi apounced she will stop development on Kittytoy to work on her mew game, Doggytoy. To think we've been tricked, bamboozled, and pawssibly even rubblescrashed by an undercover canine lover this whole time is something i struggle to pawcess meow and furrever. This shocking and sudden betrayal to cat lovers all across the globe will be remempurred furr generations to come.
Recommendation: You should make it where there is a small chance a mythical kitty appears where you can change the color of it which that makes it mythical or a kitty that just flashes rainbow!
I have a question. I know the max kitty limit is 21. if you hit 21 kitties can more kitties still come in and you just cant adopt it or they ill just stop entering? also if I unadopt a kitty and they leave I'll another kitty come or will I have to wait untill I hit the toy limit to get another kitty?
The game counts both adopted and non-adopted cats the same, so they’ll just stop entering at all. If you let a kitty leave, another kitty will come to replace them (as long as you have food out), unless you sell toys in the meantime.
I’m changing how it works in the next version, so instead of having to buy more toys, you can buy permits to allow more kitties, directly! and it will show exactly how many kitties can visit at any given time so you won’t be left guessing.

My favorites so far are (unsurprisingly) my lavender and lavender-pink ones! Cookies, Lolly, Sparkles, and Sprinkles are the most adorable names I've seen so far!
i downloaded this game a few days ago and have been absolutely addicted to it. i love the sound design, art, and overall gameplay ^^
while playing i have gotten some ideas that i'd love to seen in upcoming updates:
- custom cursor (eg. the custom cursor from clangen) - this cursor could possibly change depending on what you're doing (hammer for when editing, mouse/prey for when cats are chasing your cursor, and other things like that)
- item rotation - i know making all the different positions would be quite challenging but it would open up so many more options for house & yard customization
- more yard decor - having more things to liven up the yard would be fantastic (picnic blanket, swing hanging from the tree, logs, plants, flowerbeds, fountain, etc.)
i have a few more ideas but i don't want to overwhelm you!! i really look forward to the next update and i'm so happy this game exists <3
I love this game it's just so adorable, I haven't faced any bugs so far. I wish there were more items in the shop though that would make this game perfect. Maybe like a playground of some sort like a slide for the grass area. that would be so cute..
I have a big update in the works but progress is slow due to real life stuff, and I have lots of other projects I like to work on as well. But the update will come eventually I promise ^^

you have to have an excessive amount of toys. however many you have, you probably need more
